Chilli prawns with salad

Ingredients

300g succulent cold water or king prawns

1tsp paprika

1tsp chilli flakes

1tsp black pepper

1tsp sea salt

1 red onion

1 salad tomato

1/2 cucumber

1/4 ice burg lettuce 

 Method

1) Start by heating up a frying pan with your olive oil over a medium heat and cutting your onions into strips. Once your oil is spitting hot add in your onions and turn down the heat to a low heat and cover with a lid. 

2) Keep stirring regularly and cook down until caramelised for around 40 minutes. Set aside

3) Next, heat up a frying pan over a medium heat and add your prawns and cook down until all the water that the prawns have let out has reduced. This will take about 3 - 4 minutes.

4) Then add in your chilli powder, paprika, black pepper and salt. Cook for anther 3 minutes and then take of the heat and rest aside while we make the salad bed.

5) Finally, thinly slice your tomatoes and cucumber with a knife and cut your lettuce into manageable chunks. Mix together your tomatoes, onions, lettuce and cucumber and then top with your chilli prawns.
