Homemade Granola

Ingredients

100g honey

50g golden syrup

1 tsp vanilla

25ml flavourless oil

500g rolled oats

200g mixed seeds

200g mixed nuts

50g flaked almonds

1 tsp mixed spice

 Method

1) Start by preheating the oven to 170°C/325°F/Gas 3 and lining two roasting trays with parchment paper.

2) Next, place the honey, golden syrup, oil, and vanilla extract into a large bowl and mix well. Then, add the rolled oats, mixed seeds, mixed nuts, flaked almonds, and mixed spice.

3) Before roasting, mix all the ingredients in the bowl thoroughly, then divide evenly between the roasting trays and spread it out. Bake for 30 minutes, stirring every 10 minutes and swapping the trays halfway through.

4) Once baked, the granola should be a deep golden brown. I like mine with some more well-done pieces. Allow it to cool before serving with yogurt and berries.
