My Journey so far ...

My food journey started back at the end of 2019 when at the time I had seen the viral rainbow cake starting to go round in support of the NHS as we was in Covid- 19 the pandemic. At the time my Step-dad was an NHS worker and I decided to make him this rainbow cake, in all fairness it wasn't the greatest it was wonky and slapped together. I really enjoyed making it and it tasted good, which is what matters, from there I decided to make a batch of NYC cookies and then before I knew it I was baking every weekend. But how did I move from baking to doing baking and cooking? After baking for so long I felt like I wanted to do more and I kept , again from YouTube, seeing cookery videos pop up weather it would be how to make steak or something like a beef wellington I would watch it. After watching countless hours I saw a Chinese chow mien so decided to make this and add the steak video inspiration to the top of the chow mien, then I would make pasta dishes and now cook or bake something every day.

Success and awards so far

To this date I have win a silver and blue peter award and has many success, but do not worry there been many fails along the way as well. Most three most success moments was appearing on Live TV/ Radio (through Talk Tv and Talk Radio) for the first time and demonstrating at my very first food festival. I love to teach people my cooking skills so this is dream come true really. And when this website launches I would have announced my cookbook 'Keelan's Kitchen; Seasonal dishes' and my UK wide cookbook Tour to go along side it which is a pinch me moment.

Let's hope together we can create many more successful moments!

Beyond the kitchen

Baking and cooking is my main craft and hobby however I love to watch football and I support Aston Villa. Weather it Midweek games or Saturday games or Sunday games you can guarantee my schedule is clear to have one or two days a week just to sit down and watch them play. It is my stress free time.
